Dr. Isolde Riede

Dr. Isolde Riede has a diploma in microbiology, is lecturer at a medical faculty and alternative practitioner. Since 2001 she operates an alternative and integrative practice in Überlingen/ Germany. She compares therapies against tumors, against borreliosis and studies autoimmunity.

From 1993 until 2001 she developed a new tumor therapy. At the Universität Mainz in the institute of Prof. Elisabeth Gateff she began to investigate tumorformation in Drosophila. These studies were continued at the Deutsches Krebsforschungzentrum Heidelberg in Prof. Bernard Mechler´s group, and in the Institut für Neurobiologie in Magdeburg in the group of Prof. Eckart Gundelfinger. At the Weizmann-Institute Rehovot/Israel she studied human leukemic cell lines with Prof. Eli Canaani.

Before, she worked from 1987 until 1993 in the pharmaceutical company Boehringer Mannheim GmbH in Mannheim in Strategic Planning, Product Planning and Product Management Diagnostica. From 1986 until 1987 she studied oncogenes as Staff Scientist at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg in the group of Prof. Thomas Graf and Prof. Hartmut Beug.

Her academic education began at the Universities Stuttgart and Tübingen with studies of biology and microbiology. From 1979 until 1986 she worked at the Max Planck Institut für Biologie in Tübingen und with the thesis „Lipidphasenumwandlungen in Eschericha coli Membranen: Einfluß auf Substratbindung und Transport des Lactose-Trägers“; instructor Prof. Peter Overath. Her dissertation „DNA-Homologie und die somatische Paarung von Riesenchromosomen in Hybriden der Drosophila virilis Gruppe“ was instructed by Prof. Manfred Renz in the institute of Prof. Wolfgang Beermann. Finally she got the Venia Legendi in Molecular Genetics from the Universität Tübingen by the habilitation „Molekulare Mechanismen der Erkennung von Bakterien durch Phagen“ in the institute of Prof. Ulf Henning. She lectures at the Medical Faculity of the Universität Magdeburg.
